CONSULTING ENGINEERS
About the Role
KEY ROLE:
Civil or Mechanical Engineer with specific experience in mechanical and electronic plant for water and wastewater pumping stations. The role will require an ability to carry out analysis, design and documentation for pumping stations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Engineering Management of water and wastewater projects.
* Design of water and wastewater related infrastructure, including pump stations (water and sewer), surge protection, inlet works, screening facilities, odour control systems and mechanical plant for treatment works.
* Mechanical and electronic equipment selection and specification.
* Engineering analysis.
* Compiling of tender and contractual documents.
* Construction monitoring experience.

* Upholding standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company’s health, safety, environmental and quality vision and policies by influencing those around you.
* Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm.

Requirements
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of a B Eng. / BSc (Civil/ Mechanical Engineering) or BTech (Civil/ Mechanical Engineering).
Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in water and wastewater engineering including specific experience with mechanical and electronic plant for pumping stations.
Registration with ECSA will be advantageous.
Experience of the treatment process for water and wastewater will be advantageous.
Specification and evaluation of mechanical and electronic plant associated with water and wastewater.
Knowledge of the relevant standards, regulations and legislation in the water and wastewater field.
